Stocks that are Bid

Today is a good day to explain the term "bid." Today I would use that term to describe WTS, GR and MWA/B. The Dow as I write this is down 68 points, but these three stocks are all "bid" which means that in spite of the markets weakness, there are plenty of buyers of these three stocks and they remain firm. I have mentioned all three of these recently as stocks to own, and I believe that even more after todays price action. The opposite of "bid" is offered, which would describe a stock that cant seem to muster any move to the upside when the overall market is moving higher.

Today it is interesting to note that in spite of the CPI numbers, gold can't seem to muster a decent move to the upside. It will be interesting to see if it can rally from here. Right now it is up $3.30 but I would not be surprised to see it lower later.
